Texas Tech's effort to build a hydrogen-fueled vehicle is getting stronger. On Thursday, General Motors presented Texas Tech's ChallengeX Team with a check for $7,000. The money will pay travel expenses to this year's competition in Arizona. "The idea is to convert that vehicle to make it get much better fuel efficiency, cleaner emission and at the same time provide the same performance."
Team members are installing new parts in a Chevrolet Equinox for the competition.
