Friday Night Drug Bust Puts Four Behind Bars

A traffic stop Friday night also halted the delivery of drugs into Lubbock and put four men behind bars.

Thirty five-year-old John Clark, 42-year-old Roy Burrus, 20-year-old Danual Muniz and 26-year-old Donald Hubbard are all being held in the Lubbock County Jail. DPS Troopers stopped a truck off I-27 and Woodrow Road just after 8pm. Troopers were on alert that a stolen truck was en route to Lubbock from Odessa and it was carrying drugs and weapons.

Authorities found weapons inside the truck and the canine unit sniffed out drugs. Clark and Burrus are charged with unlawful possession of a fire arm by a felon. Muniz is charged with possession of marijuana and Hubbard is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Thirty five-year-old Carol Burrus was also arrested. She was charged with possession of a dangerous drug.
