Pedestrian Hit by Train

Lubbock police say 31-year-old Chris Garcia was lying on the tracks and was struck by a train. It happened around 11 p.m. Sunday night at North University and Clovis highway. Garcia suffered injuries to his leg and was taken to UMC for treatment.

He is in critical condition. Authorities believe alcohol was a factor in the incident.
