Dunbar Middle School students will go to New York. Parents say they have rescheduled the trip for June. It was originally set for spring break, but it was postponed when the money disappeared. School officials say the teacher in charge of the effort, Karee Copeland resigned last week. Some of the parents are now taking it upon themselves to raise the money all over again.
A fund has been set up to help students. You can make a contribution at any City Bank Branch. Meantime, police are investigating the case to determine if theft charges should be filed against Copeland.
