West Texas Coalition Sends Additional Proposal to Washington D.C.

NewsChannel 11 is now learning what happened the day the West Texas Coalition made its presentation for the presidential library in Washington DC. On Thursday night, the selection committee will receive even more information. Chairman David Miller says, "Tonight by an overnight courier we will deliver to the selection committee a package that includes the third addendum suggesting what we believe will hopefully enhance our proposal and move the library in our direction or not."

Miller told us that the selection committee gave the West Texas Coalition a standing ovation. The presentation also included an impressionist that acted as Ronald Reagan, George H. Bush, Bill Clinton and the current President George W. Bush.

Texas Tech has also come to an agreement after being subpoenaed for their library proposal. We told you a Dallas resident was requesting proposals from all four schools because he's involved with a lawsuit over eminent domain with Southern Methodist University. Texas Tech has agreed to turn over the following: primary site location, promotional welcome home video, architectural renderings and a statement saying Texas Tech did not create an economic impact study. Miller says these are things that should not hurt Tech's chances.

The decision is expected by March 31st.
