A Utah man accused of making a bomb threat to try to rob a Plainview bank is behind bars.
Police say Larry Christensen walked into the Wells Fargo Bank just before noon Thursday. He apparently told an employee he had a bomb in his car and demanded $2,000. He then sat down and waited for his money. Plainview Police Captain Michael Carroll said, "When I walked in and sat down beside him and identified myself as a police officer he pretty much knew the jig was up and he gave up without a struggle."
Christensen is charged with aggravated robbery.
