Crews Continue To Monitor Propane Fire Explosion Aftermath

NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta spent the morning at Wylie LP Gas showing us the aftermath of Monday's massive fire.

Fire crews remain on the scene, monitoring and assessing the damage to the propane center. We understand fire officials will be on the scene late Tuesday morning investigating what caused the initial explosion.

For safety reasons, we were asked to stay beyond the gate but the damage was apparent from feet away. Hundreds of propane tanks lied on the ground. We also saw a small trailer that was completely destroyed by the fire. At this time fire officials say there is no more danger to residents in the area.

Evacuees Scared For Their Homes After Propane Tank Fire
All residents who were evacuated earlier today are still urged to stay away from their homes until it is safe to return. NewsChannel 11's Jennifer Vogel learned the Salvation Army is where evacuees can stay if they can't get in their homes overnight.
