NewsChannel 11 has learned new details about the cause of Monday's propane explosion and fire at 82nd and Avenue F in South Lubbock.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms or A.T.F. is now assisting in the investigation on the cause of the fire at Wylie's L.P. Gas Distributor. So far, they have assessed the damage and have interviewed many eye-witnesses. The ATF says they are now in a fact-finding mode trying to figure out what happened and why. We do now that eleven structures were damaged and fifty-six vehicles burned.
We are also told a forensic mapping team will be in Lubbock Wednesday to plot out locations of where each propane tank landed. We should know a cause in the next couple of days.
