FDA to Continue Study on Promising MS Drug

Last year, a promising drug to treat M.S., called Tysabri was taken off the market after concern that it may cause a rare, but potentially fatal disorder.  Now, after further studies, the FDA says it is going to allow those early studies to continue after all, because they can find no new cases of a fatal disorder.

And Tysabri was proving to slow the progresssion of the disease, and significantly cut the rate of relapse.  So, in the treatment of M.S., we'll be hearing more about Tysabri, a drug under study again.
