New Deal Fire Thought to be An Accident - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Fire investigators believe a fire that destroyed a New Deal home was accidental. The fire started just after 7 p.m. Tuesday night. New Deal, Idalou and Abernathy fire fighters spent several hours extinguishing the blaze. The fire ignited again briefly Wednesday morning.

New Deal Fire Chief Randy Teeter says an electrical short is likely to blame. The home was undergoing some remodeling work. It was not insured.
