A 24-year-old man is behind bars after being charged with armed robbery.
Eren Wardlaw is charged with aggravated robbery and two counts of evading arrest after police say he walked into the Town and Country near Indiana Avenue and Clovis Highway just before 10:30pm Friday and demanded money.
Wearing a red ski mask, he told the employee he had a gun, then left with an unknown amount of cash. Police officers spotted Wardlaw and a short pursuit began.
He ran into his house in the 3200 block of 2nd street, pushed his grandmother out of the way, and fled threw the back door. Police apprehended Wardlaw just a few blocks away.
Wardlaw is currently being held at the Lubbock County Jail awaiting arraignment.
