Fire Officials Suspect Arson in House Fire

The Lubbock Fire Department suspects arson in an overnight fire in East Central Lubbock. Firefighters responded to the blaze at an empty home at 17th and Avenue B around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night.

Witnesses say they saw someone set the house on fire and then run from the scene. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire.
