DPS says drugs, alcohol, and Saturday night's dense fog all played a major role in a late night accident in East Lubbock that sent seven people to the hospital.
Troopers say a 26-year-old John Cuezas Jr. was heading West on a portion of 98th Street that is closed due to construction. He slammed into a Caterpillar parked on 98th near MLK just after 12:30am. The driver and his six female passengers were all taken to University Medical Center. All with serious injuries.
