One man didn't even wait for rescue crews to arrive before helping victims stuck inside the Little Panda restaurant after the roof collapsed. NewsChannel 11's Kealey McIntire has more on the man who says he was acting on instinct.
Norman Elvers was leaving the Nothing Butt Smokes store about three doors away when he noticed something was wrong at the Little Panda. He saw the roof collapsed and saw three people running from the building. That's when he and a friend went to the back of the building to shut off the gas then noticed more people were still trapped inside underneath the rubble.
Elvers says what they did next was instinct.

9-1-1 Call After Little Panda Ceiling Collapse
"Three people were stuck between the wall and the rest of the roof that had come down, and so we helped clear out some of the debris and get them out over the counter and out of the store. Getting them out, I didn't think twice about it. If I was in there I'd want out too, and being able to give them an exit was nice to have," said Elvers.
He tells us he and his friend were able to help three people to safety before rescue crews arrived.
