Jury selection resumed Monday in the trial of a Lubbock man, formerly on death row. Joe Franco Garza Junior is accused of killing Silbiano Rangel in December of 1998.
In 2000 he was convicted of capital murder and was sentenced to death. Recently, a Lubbock Federal Judge overturned that sentence and now the sentencing phase will start all over again. Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty again.
Jury selection is expected to take four to five weeks.
