Driver Charged With Intoxication Assault - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A 26-year-old man is charged with five counts of intoxication assault following a crash in East Lubbock Sunday morning. It happened just after midnight, Sunday, at 98th and MLK. John Cuezas Junior hit a Caterpillar, a piece of construction equipment, while driving on a portion of 98th street that was closed for construction.

DPS Troopers say dense fog, drugs and alcohol were factors in the accident. Cuezas and five of his passengers are in satisfactory condition and a sixth passenger is in critical condition at UMC.
