Lubbock County's Chief Medical Examiner is now a member of the State Forensic Science Commission. Governor Rick Perry appointed Sridhar Natarajan to the commission in February. He was sworn in Monday by 99th District Court Judge Bill Sowder at the Lubbock County Courthouse.
Natarajan says it's a tremendous honor and he's grateful the governor considered him for the position. Natarajan says, "It's something I didn't expect to achieve and it's wonderful to be thought of as somebody in forensics who is going to be involved with making forensic advances in our state."
The commission oversees professional conduct in forensic laboratories throughout the state of Texas.
