If you're a frequent flyer, construction work might effect where you park at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport.
Starting Monday, the airport will close portions of the parking lot so that workers can re-pave it with concrete. Phase one started Monday and involves work in the covered parking area. Phase two starts in April. It will cause the closure of short-term parking. Phase three will effect long-term parking in June.
The project will cost $6.5 million and is expected to be complete in five months.
