Chief Medical Examiner Resigns

Lubbock county is losing its chief medical examiner. The news comes just one day after Doctor Sridhar Natarajan was sworn in to serve on the State Forensics Science Commission.

Natarajan submitted his letter of resignation to Texas Tech. He says he is looking into going into consulting and believes he'll end up leaving the area. The Lubbock Medical Examiner's office covers about 85 counties.

Natarajan's resignation becomes effective August 7th.
