Patchy Ice Causes Overnight Car Accident

NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta monitored driving conditions in Lubbock all morning. As you head to work or school Thursday morning, watch for patchy ice on bridges and overpasses. Fog in some areas may cause low visibility for drivers. Use low beam head lights and drive with caution.

Wednesday night just after 11:00 one Lubbock driver had a weather-related accident. We're told a truck was going West on the North Loop near Indiana Avenue. The driver hit a patch of ice then hit a light pole and veered off into oncoming traffic. Police closed off the eastbound lanes for about 20 minutes.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
