The agricultural concerns of farmers brought three congressmen to Lubbock on Thursday. Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss says, "We want to hear from folks with dirt under their fingers who are actually out there driving the tractors and planting and harvesting the crops. They are the ones we really care about and as we look to the next farm bill we want to make sure that we serve those folks who are so vital to America."
Chambliss is the Chairman of the Senate Ag Committee. He was in Lubbock Thursday along with West Texas Representatives Randy Neugebauer and Mike Conaway. They attended an Ag Forum at the Texas Tech International Cultural Center to hear for themselves, what producers want out of the 2007 Farm Bill.
