Political Party County Conventions Held - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Both the Lubbock Republican Party and Lubbock Democratic Party held their county conventions Saturday.

The purpose of the conventions, which were held separately, is for the parties to elect delegates for the state conventions. They also discuss topics, to bring to the state convention, that affect each party here in Lubbock.

The date for the county convention is set by the Texas Legislature. The state conventions will take place in June.
