March Recall Round-Up: Part 1

Baby Formula

Three month-old Skyler drinks formula for nourishment but her mother Tammy Tyron found more than just nutrients when she opened a can of Gentlease T Powdered Infant Formula made by Mead Johnson. Tyron says, "The company did confirm what they found in my formula batch was stainless steel, aluminum and zinc."

Mead Johnson is now recalling batch number BMJ19 found in 24 ounce cans. Fortunately, Tyron found the metal particles before giving the formula to Skyler. If an infant were to inhale the formula into the lungs, the particles could present a risk to the baby's respiratory system and throat. If you bought the defective batch, do not use. Call Mead Johnson toll free at 1-888-587-7275.
