Father Finds 22-year-old Man Having Sex with 13-year-old Daughter

A Lubbock family wants to know how a 22-year-old man was able to hook up with a 13-year-old girl, in the front yard of their own home. That's what happened overnight in Northwest Lubbock, only the teen's grandfather didn't let the suspect get away. He held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

On Monday night Brandon Lewis was charged with aggravated sexual assault. NewsChannel 11's Jennifer Vogel heard the 9-1-1 tape of the young girl's father reporting the incident, and has the full story.

NewsChannel 11 camera's were outside the home just moments after the incident to capture the start of a possible sexual predator investigation. Now, we hear what a father did after he found a grown man in the car with his 13-year-old daughter.

Operator- 9-1-1 what's your emergency?
Father- I got a gun on a young man over here that's sleeping with my daughter.
Operator- What's the problem?
Father- I caught this young man having sex with my underage daughter. My daughter is 13-years-old!

That young man being accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl is Brandon Lewis.

Operator- How old is he?
Father- I don't know he won't tell me, he won't show me his ID.

Lewis is 22-years-old. Investigators say he met the victim online, they chatted a couple times, and supposedly met for the first time outside the girl's home around two Monday morning.

Father- You know, they were both naked.
Operator- Did he rape her?
Father- I don't know if they met on the Internet or what happened.

Police say it was the victim's grandfather who noticed a suspicious vehicle outside, and saw the front door open. He walked out, found the two, then went back inside to grab the girl's father and a gun. He kept the suspect at gunpoint until police arrived. But the father's suspicions about the Internet were right.

Detective Larry Manale does online investigations with the Lubbock Police Department. "I'm looking for chat logs, pictures of both the victim and the suspect, dialog that transpired, phones numbers, names."

Lubbock police have taken both the victim and suspect's hard drives to look for any kind of evidence that would lead to the late-night meeting, and see if any other teens might have been next.

Police are still trying to find out how the two met online. They are also looking to see if there was inappropriate pictures or chat logs exchanged between the victim and suspects. 22-year-old Brandon Lewis has been arrested and faces aggravated sexual assault charges.
