Describe Nature of Initiative:  Internship Program
Establish an internship program designed to assist members of the community in acquiring skills needed for broadcast employment.

During this period, 7 college students were involved in Internships with KCBD TV in News, Weather, and Sales departments.

Participate in at least four events or programs relating to career opportunities in broadcasting sponsored by educational institutions.

1. 4/24/13.  Clay Erwin gave presentation to a class at Media and Communications Sales class.
2. 3/8/14. Benji Snead sat on a panel with news director's in the region to answer questions from college students about how to get a job in broadcasting.
3. 9/13/13.  Christian Rivera gave a tour to Texas Tech Media.
4. 3/11/14.  Christian Rivera gave a tour to Tiger Scout Troop.
5. 3/12/14.  Christian Rivera gave a tour to Boy Scout Troop.

Host at least one job fair.


Describe Scope of Broadcasters' Participation (including names of any other sponsoring or participating organizations):
1 September 19-20, 2013 KCBD hosted a virtual job fair, to assist local employers in finding qualified candidates for jobs in their companies.  The event was heavily promoted with on-air spots.  Fifteen businesses, including KCBD, participated.  Approximately 250 job seekers attended.
