Lubbock Landscaper Hailed As Hero - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

He's a landscaper but Tuesday Jay Townsend was named a hero.

"I could just tell that the guy was in really bad shape, and nobody was really doing much. I just couldn't do nothing. He needed help and I couldn't just sit back and watch," Townsend said.

University Medical Center named Jay Townsend this year's honoree for the "Raymond Davis Citizen Hero Award." A 9-1-1 operator walked Townsend through the CPR steps so he could save a man's life.
