Intoxication Manslaughter Case Still Not Presented to Grand Jury

There was one case that was not on the Grand Jury list on Tuesday, and that was the intoxication manslaughter case involving 20-year-old Erin Nicole Reagan of Midland. Reagan is accused of killing 21-year-old Amber Menafee when driving on the wrong side of the West Loop.

Police say Reagan was drunk, nearly twice the legal limit. NewsChannel 11 asked the District Attorney's office why it has taken over a month to present the case to the Grand Jury.

The answer we got was that the District Attorney has been waiting for all of the evidence before they present the case. Sources tell us the report didn't even get to the DA's office until last week. The crash happened February 11th.

They also say they are still missing Amber Menafee's autopsy report. We learned on Tuesday that the medical examiner has finished the autopsy, but has not signed off on it yet.

We also told you last week that TABC is conducting a "source investigation" into where 20-year-old Reagan got the alcohol. We'll keep you updated as we get more information.
