It was a 5-year-old driver who crashed into an East Lubbock gas station Tuesday night.
The boy's mother left the car running while she went inside King's Food and Gas at 19th and MLK just after 9 o'clock Tuesday night. The child put the car into drive, backed up, made a circle and crashed into the other side of the store.
The mother, Amanda Escobedo, tried to stop the car and was dragged across the parking lot. She suffered minor injuries and was cited for leaving a child and a running car unattended.
