A Shallowater man is now charged with animal cruelty.
On Thursday, the Lubbock County District Attorney's Office filed four counts of cruelty of animal charges against the man who lived in a trailer near Shallowater. Investigators found a number of starving dogs and the remains of others on the property which is just West of Shallowater.
