Fishing In Lubbock's Playa Lakes - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

If you are looking for an outdoor adventure, fishing may be for you. For many Lubbock residents, fishing is available in their very own neighborhood. NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta spent the morning at a city lake learning the art of fishing.

Most of city lakes are stocked with catfish. There is a maximum of 5 fish bag limit per day. Fish are edible but it's recommended that you throw them back in if you're not planning to eat them. Everyone over the age of 17 must have a fishing license. You can pick one up anywhere sporting goods are sold.
