A Lubbock Federal judge has ruled he will not reinstate the guilty verdict in Monte Hasie's case.
Hasie, a former State Board of Education member, was found guilty in a bank fraud case last year. Earlier this month, U.S. Judge Sam Cummings acquitted him. Prosecutors then filed a motion to have the verdict reinstated. This week, the judge denied that request.
