When it's complete, the flyover at the Marsha Sharp Freeway and the West Loop will the largest and longest in Lubbock, but for now, its construction will cause a few detours.
Wednesday through Friday, the eastbound lanes will close during the daylight hours. All traffic will be diverted to the loop frontage road and continue to 50th street and beyond. All lanes will reopen at sunset.
On Sunday night, construction crews will begin placement of heavy beams over the loop. The northbound lanes will be closed each evening, Sunday through Thursday for the next month. Traffic may also be reduced to two lanes.
