98th Street Construction Gets Underway

Drivers in south Lubbock will experience two years of construction.

That's how long barricades will be up on 98th Street, between Slide and Juneau. Work crews will be repairing an unstable utility ditch, relocating utilities, installing pipelines, and finishing up with concrete and asphalt paving.

The project will be completed in 3 phases. In the meantime, all traffic will be diverted to 93rd Street.

4/4/06 Construction to Cause Detours When it's complete, the flyover at the Marsha Sharp Freeway and the West Loop will the largest and longest in Lubbock, but for now, its construction will cause a few detours.
