Imagine you're just 31 years old and the busy mother of three young children and you fall victim to a stroke. That happened in January to Christy Wilson, whose stroke came with a brain aneurysm followed by two brain surgeries. Christy was left with limited use of her right side.
"One minute she was great and the next minute this is what we have. And her doctor said he calls her the miracle girl. Because he said by all means, there is no prognosis because she shouldn't even be here," said Christy's aunt, Mary Johnson.
With no insurance and mounting medical bills, two local car clubs are driving in to help with a benefit auction this weekend. The Wolves Car Club and the Caprock Classic Car Club will be auctioning off a 60's Thunderbird at Lowe's grocery store this Saturday.
There will also be a silent auction and lots of other activities at the Christy Wilson benefit at Lowe's at 82nd and Slide from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, April 8th.
