A Lubbock murder suspect is going to prison for 132 years. A federal judge sentenced Vernon Gilmore Friday. Gilmore pleaded guilty to ten federal charges for possession of firearms and a car jacking.
Vernon is also accused of killing Rex McGuire in April of last year. Gilmore became a person of interest when police say he tired to cash one of McGuire's checks. Authorities later captured him in the Fort Worth area. Gilmore still faces a state murder trial.
