First Graders Raise Money for Habitat For Humanity

First grade students from Murfee Elementary were recognized Friday morning at Lubbock I.S.D. central office.

The students held a school wide campaign to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. But, the money didn't go toward building homes. It went to the children living in them. The kids used the funds to buy items to decorate their new rooms.
