Construction Begins in Southwest Lubbock - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Another 2-year construction project is now underway in Southwest Lubbock. Monday, work crews are beginning work on Phase One, 98th street from Slide to Chicago. They will repair a utility ditch, install pipelines, and pave a new road all the way to Juneau avenue.

For now, all traffic will detour to 93rd street. A temporary signal at the 93rd and Slide intersection will help move traffic along.
