Five members of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas were indicted in Lubbock Federal Court on Wednesday.
The first case charges three men with possessing more than two dozen stolen firearms. It's believed 34-year-old Matthew Courtney, 27-year-old Aaron Thompson and 27-year-old Cory Daniel took the firearms during a burglary. Daniel and Thompson are in the Lubbock County Jail. A warrant has been issued for Courtney.
The second case involving a member of the Aryan Brotherhood is centered around 27-year-old Jeremy Womack. He's charged with possession of an unregistered firearm. He was arrested last week after causing a bomb scare in South Lubbock. During a traffic stop, police found a homemade explosive device in his car. On that same day, Womack's wife told police he had threatened to kill her and himself. Police say he was headed in the direction of her home at the time of the stop.
John Arthur Clark was indicted on one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He is also a member of the Aryan Brotherhood. If convicted the 35-year-old faces a maximum sentence of ten years in prison.
