Jonathan Nelson's wife Hillary Nelson is no longer a relief defendant in his case. Nelson is accused of embezzling $78 million from a Snyder based oil company. Hillary Nelson was cleared of all charges because the courts say she complied with all the court's requests including giving up money and assets she received during their marriage.

Nelson's attorneys are still refusing to give back the half million dollars they received in attorney fees.They filed an appeal in the matter. Also, Nelson has asked the judge to go to Fort Worth to meet with a forensic expert to start planning his defense.
