Amphitheater Construction Nearly Complete - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A $2 million amphitheater in Mackenzie Park is scheduled to open at the end of this summer. The City of Lubbock is working on putting the finishing touches, which includes restrooms.

Construction on the amphitheater started three years ago. Voters approved a $1.7 million bond to pay for it. The rest of the money came from private donations. The city is preparing to bring the first outdoor musical to the theatre sometime this summer.
