Drivers Change Plans Amid High Gas Prices

Gas prices may keep some Lubbockites in town Easter weekend. Nationwide, gas prices increased 12-cents this week. Here in Lubbock, we found prices ranging from $2.64 to $2.75 a gallon.

Most drivers we spoke with say that's reason enough to stay home this Easter. Many tell us they're canceling trips out of town or even to nearby lakes.

AAA reports crude oil prices approached a record high of $70.85 per barrel this week. That's amid concerns that shipments from Iran, Nigeria and Iraq may be jeopardized by security threats.
