Luncheon Raises $4,000 For Lubbock Memorial - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

They need $1.5 million to build it and, as of Monday, the Lubbock Regional Public Safety Memorial Committee is $4,000 closer to its goal.

The Lubbock Apartment Association donated the money from the mayor's annual State of the City Luncheon. The memorial will be located at 75th and Slide and will honor all first responders in this region.

"It's also for those people that work every day, first responders that are out saving your life, and protecting your property, doing everything they can to protect you," said Lubbock Fire Marshal Mike Kemp.
