A controversial sting by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission will continue following some re-evaluation.
Under the program, undercover officers visited bars to ticket or arrest patrons deemed exceedingly drunk. TABC officials defended the crackdown before state lawmakers in Austin on Monday, but also admitted the program could be refined.
TABC administrator, Alan Steen, says the agency will continue the program once it has finished re-evaluating how officers enforce the public intoxication law.
