Duncan's Quest To 'Keep the Peace' At Soldier Funerals - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

If one local senator has his way, it would be a crime to protest at a soldier's funeral.

Senator Robert Duncan filed a bill Tuesday that would make it a class B misdemeanor to protest within 500 feet of a funeral service...that's one hour before or after a service.

The proposed legislation is the result of an incident that happened last year in Dimmit.
