Imagine the frustration of not being able to afford the medical equipment you need for rehab. That's why occupational therapists are teaming up with local hospitals and the AMBUCS club to find as much used medical equipment as possible so that those devices can be passed on to someone else who needs it now.
"From a therapist's perspective, it's very frustrating when you know there is a piece of equipment that a patient needs and you know that they have no access to get that equipment and that can make a difference in their level of mobility and their level of independence with their daily level of independence living skills," said Allison Chapa, an Occupational Therapist.
If you have canes, walkers, reachers, shower seats, any medical equipment you'd like to donate, bring it to the medical equipment drive Saturday morning from 9am to Noon in the parking lot of Circuit City.
All donations will be re-distributed throughout the community.
