Pocket Change from Ballenger Kids is Big Fundraiser for March of Dimes

Combine pocket change and dozens of determined kids and you end up raising nearly one thousand dollars.

Ballenger Early Childhood Center students collected spare change during the month of April as a fundraiser to help sick infants. They'll celebrate the money they raised Monday during the March of Dimes Spectacular Parade. It starts at 9:30 a.m. at 1110 40th Street. Our own Sports Director Pete Christy, his wife Keli and daughter Bella are the grand marshalls.

The Christy's are this year's March of Dimes family. The organization helps prevent premature births. You can help the cause at the annual March of Dimes Walk America this Saturday at Maxey Park starting at 9:00 a.m.
