City Council Repeals Segregation Ordinance

An 83-year-old segregation ordinance is officially off the books now. NewsChannel 11 first told you about Ordinance 225 on Tuesday.

Wednesday morning, Lubbock City Council members repealed it. Written back in 1923, it stated that no African Americans could live West of Avenue C or North of 16th Street.
