South Lubbock Chemical Spill Cleaned Up - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Lubbock Police are no longer blocking traffic near 82nd Street and I-27. The last emergency responder left the scene around 9:20, Wednesday night after Haz-Mat cleaned up a powdered sulfer chemical spill.

The spill forced authorities to block traffic in the area for about four hours on Wednesday. Fire fighters say the chemical was not hazardous, and never posed a threat to residents.
