Texas Tech Sorority Digs Deep Into Science for Annual Project

Texas Tech Gamma Beta Phi Sorority members dug into science Saturday for their annual project called "GRIP."

GRIP stands for Gamma Beta Phi Ready to Improve and Plant. That's just what nearly 200 sorority members, students and faculty members did at Wheatley Elementary. They spent the day planting various items around campus.

It's the sorority group's annual project, it's designed to teach kids about science while getting them out of the classroom.

"It really benefits the kids in a lot of different ways learning and just relaxing and just a pretty environment for them," said Gamma Beta Phi Service Coordinator Brittany Davis.
