Election Officials Encourage Voters To Vote Early

Vote early and avoid confusion - That's the message election officials are sending to Lubbock voters.

Election day is May 13th. Early voting started Monday and continues through Tuesday, May 9th. Voters will decide on the Lubbock mayor, three city council seats, the Lubbock ISD school board and the Lubbock Cooper bond election. With so many races, Lubbock County Elections Administrator Dorothy Kennedy says voting early could save you several trips.

"If you are in the city, you could go to your city precinct to vote, then you would have to go to a school to vote in your school district, and up to another location for your water district," Kennedy said.
